About Me
I am a retired Police Superintendent with a passion for sharing my experiences and insights through writing and public speaking. As an author and guest speaker, I strive to inspire and educate others on topics of minority rights, investing in women and girls and the importance of children’s education. My aim is to foster trust and hope among vulnerable people - even in the most challenging environments. I believe in the power of kindness.

I have dedicated 31 years to the Norwegian Police Force, serving in various capacities including the Public Order Department, the Division for Organized Crime, and the Division for Crime Prevention. In 2009, I initiated a pioneering project focused on engaging the female minority population in Oslo. My efforts were warmly received within mosques and non-governmental organizations, where I encouraged women to actively participate in society, learn the Norwegian language, seek employment, and become positive role models for their children. In Norway, we uphold equal rights for all, and any form of violence or coercion is strictly prohibited.
I have had the privilege of presenting my pioneering work in several countries. In 2021, I joined UN Women, where I work on implementing their Handbook on Gender Responsive Policing to Support Women and Girls Affected by Violence, aimed at police leaders in Africa and the Middle East.
Additionally, my first book, "The Police Heart: Stories from a Life in Uniform," was released in January 2024. The book has garnered significant media attention, and a television company has acquired the rights to develop it into a series. I have been invited to present my book and share my experiences in policing both throughout Norway and internationally.

BOOK
The Police Heart
Contains true stories from more than three decades as a police officer and my meetings with vulnerable kids and adults that are born into drug abuse, physical abuse, neglect and had no one to turn to. As a police officer I was able to help many people out of their misery and helped them navigate to get a better and safer life. I am still walking with lots of these beautiful people. Even if you start your life bad - it doesn't have to end that way!
